Edward Arambula was born in
Pomona California of Spanish and American Indian decent.
His parents recognized his talents at a young age,
motivating and encouraging his efforts and seeing that he
attended art lessons. His entries were accepted into
various competitions throughout the years some he won and
placed. An award worth noting was a scholarship to the
Laguna Beach School of Art. Ed lived in Southern
California until he married in 1992 and moved to Sacramento
where he started and raised a family. After ten years, he
returned to Southern California settling in the high dessert
near Temecula’s wine country.
Edward has been working
professionally as a freelance artist since 1985 and established
his own business in 1991 as Creative Touch. He has
provided original paintings and murals for private collectors
and advertisers. His services include: garden statues,
company logos, monuments, fountains, outdoor sculpted
furniture, home decor, and figurines.
Notable commissions include The Ebony Collection, L.E. for Duncan Royal, Charlotte, the monument for Armstrong Nurseries.
Statuary commissioned by Kansas City Art & Statuary,
Lomelli’s and Al’s Garden Art are sold throughout
the US and Internationally.
Custom works have also been
done for Sierra Nevada, St. Paulie’s Girl, Rock Creek,
Hump Back Migration Reserve, Red Nectar, Red Robin’s
Grill & Spirits, Hornsby’s, Big Rock and others.
Attached to his home Ed has a
studio open to a large yard with an unencumbered view of
surrounding rolling hills and mountains. The environment
is the ideal atmosphere with great Mediterranean climate and
bright light for his plein air work. He enjoys listening
to a wide range of music while working in studio, everything
from classical to rock, techno, and jazz to the blues.
Culteral Influences are the
American West. He is inspired to depict a positive
reflection of nature and humanity. Ed works to stimulate
thought, invoke ideas and interaction. Nature and the
evidence of man’s presence are Ed’s favorite
subjects. He finds God’s creation awe-inspiring but
wants to capture man’s influence in the world as well.
His goal is to produce for as long as he can and never
retire. He is most interested in rural life and labor,
landscapes, nature and figurative work.
Ed Arambula’s
conviction is to work hard and appreciate all that you have.
He lives his life this way and cherishes the company of
his wife and children and the blessing of working from home.
Ed uses as much color, texture and motion as he can in
his painting and sculpting for greater richness and depth.
The mediums that he incorporates for varying effects are
acrylic, oil, and charcoal. In sculpting Ed uses a range
of texture and grit of water and oil-based clays. His
work sells within the price range of $100 to $6,000 dollars.
